is it ok to put a steel shaft in a titanium driver with a bore thru hosel?
i just purchased a titleist 975d driver and was thinking about putting in a dynamic gold x100 shaft in it but wanted to know if it's ok to do so since it has a bore thru hosel. would there be any problems? also the club came at a standard 45 inches and i prefer a slightly shorter club so getting a steel shaft would solve that problem.
Yeah, it'll be fine. Shorter is better for accuracy, but steel will be inherently more accurate than graphite. You might consider keeping it 45", until you find out if you can it it or not.
